Vascular Ultrasound Lab

Our Vascular Lab is designed for the examination of vessels (arteries and veins) using ultrasound equipment. Ultrasound utilizes sound waves and a computer to visualize the arteries and veins in different parts of the body. The procedure is safe and painless.

Common Vascular Studies performed are:

Carotid Doppler:        We look at the vessels supplying blood to the brain
Upper Extremity Arterial Doppler:      We look at the blood flow and any narrowing vessels in the arms.
Lower Extremity Arterial Doppler:

We look for peripheral vascular disease, which narrows the vessels in the legs.

Upper and Lower Extremity Venous Doppler:           We look for blood clots and/or any problems with veins.
Abdominal Aortic Doppler: We look for aneurysms and blockages in the abdominal aorta.
Renal Doppler:      We look for blockages in the renal arteries and kidneys.
